a friend shared something about dissociation and psychosis. this was my response:
The spiritual and non-physical reality CAN be a communal reality (like you spoke about yesterday with your young person on walkabouts)… but it is not in western culture.
We have been systematically disconnected from the energetic reality that we live in – individuals that stray back towards that awareness are prevented from sharing this awareness through diagnoses.
But if psychosis is disconnect from shared reality, western culture and westernised people are the ones who are truly psychotic. Disconnected from the energetic reality, the cosmic flow of energy that all earthly beings are born from and return to. (We, too, westernised people can return – although it stings like tepid water after being frozen).
So, yes. Earth, body and shared human experience as a way back to our earthly reality. But I would advocate for a switch of roles: our sensitive human kin who are diagnosed as psychotic and neurodivergent can be the leaders, hold the hands of those less sensitive, and guide us all on the path back to natural reality.
